68 Days and Counting...

Well good evening, lovelies. Long time no chat. I used my nerd status to full effect just now and Googled how many days are left until Christmas. The answer, my friends, is 68 days.

68 MOTHERSCRATCHING DAYS! In any other year, I would be done with Christmas shopping by September. This year... I. haven't. even. started. Fudge my life.

I could blame it on the government shutdown. I could blame it on my hubby getting laid off. I could blame it on the rain. I could even blame it on Miley Cyrus.  But the truth is, I haven't had the slightest desire (or more importantly the funds) to even begin shopping. Fruitcakes for everyone! No?

Don't get me wrong, I'm super excited about Christmas. And spending time with family.  And listening to my Justin Bieber Christmas album nonstop watching Christmas movies. And hopefully snow!

I just want to focus on the more important things in life and get away from focusing on material things. Ya feel me? ;)

Are you done with your Christmas shopping? What are you looking forward to during the Christmas season?

Don't feel bad about not being pinterest queen and having all your Christmas shopping done in like February. I've bought Gabe one thing and THAT IS IT so far. I'm like I'll totally do it all in one day. Pft.
PS- LOLz to motherscratching! That's money.

  6. I started shopping in July... don't have much and won't get much more. I'm more excited for the cooler weather than anything. It's my favorite time of year because Halloween is awesome! But Christmas is pretty great too with the little kids in the house.

sorry your husband got laid off hope he finds a job fast!
