5 TV Shows That Need to Make a Comeback

Since we can all agree that I have no life, I think it's safe to say that I'm a bit addicted to TV.  There are so many shows that are no longer on TV that I really miss!  Sometimes, you wonder why network execs get paid so much money, when they obviously don't know diddly about what the average person (aka me) really wants to watch.

So, I give you 5 TV shows that need to make a comeback:

1)  ALF.
I mean, do I  really need to say more? When I was a kid, I could watch it all day every day.  I cried when it ended. Tell me who in their right mind wouldn't want to watch this again? I'd buy a dozen cats for ALF to snack on. haha. jk.  Maybe!

2)  Queer as Folk.
You're soooo lying if you tell me you weren't in love with Brian Kinney (Gale Harold), no matter that he was gay.  I hated the stupid ending to that show. It almost felt rushed to me, like they didn't know how to end it, so they just gave up and didn't really write an ending.  Bring it back!!! I have to see what Brian is up to! And he better be happy, dang it! The show is about a group of gay friends living in Pittsburgh.  The show tackles so many different issues - love, friendship, gay/lesbian culture/stereotypes, AIDS, substance abuse, you name it. Serious stuff, but yet, it still manages to be funny. The show really draws you in and makes you care about these amazing characters.

3)  Young Americans
5 words:  Ian Somerhalder and Katherine Moennig.  I really liked this show! I wish they would have given it a chance beyond the first season.  Of course, the actors are now a little too old to play high schoolers.  But I don't care! I wanna know what happens!!! And I can ignore the fact that Kate Bosworth was in it, bleck. But basically, Katherine Moennig's character, Jacqueline pretends to be a boy (Jake) and gets into this elite summer prep academy.  She is room mates with Ian Sommerhalder's character, Hamilton, and she falls for him but of course can't say anything because she's supposed to be a boy.  BUT, Hamilton starts to have feelings for Jake and begins to wonder if he's gay when "Jake" finally reveals the truth.

4)  Over There
Another one-season show. Come on, people! You've gotta give a show at least 2 seasons and give it a chance. Booo.  It was a series about soldiers (male and female) deployed to Iraq and shows how deployment affects each soldier differently. One Private loses his leg and is shipped home and doesn't really know how to cope with being injured and being at home, so much of his identity was being a soldier.  Another soldier finds out his wife was cheating on him. Another soldier goes AWOL because she misses her son. It was just an absolutely brilliant show. And it doesn't hurt that Erik Palladino is in it. #babealert

5)  Models, Inc.
Holy moly.  This show was actually a spinoff of Melrose Place.  It was obviously about a modeling company.  In true Fox fashion, there was no end to the drama.  Somebody gets shot a wedding.  A model is kidnapped and wakes up in Central America... I mean, just wow. I really think that it would have become a classic like Melrose Place if only it wasn't cancelled.

So there you have it.  Did any of your shows make the list?

What shows would you bring back if you could?

  8. I haven't had a tv for almost 13 years and I was a bit old for Alf, however, I heard that "Queer as Folk" was good. I always liked the music from Dawson's Creek.
