Excuse me, sir, could you spare some CHANGE?

"Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself." ~Leo Tolstoy

It's true.  How many times have I said to myself, "if only x was different?"  "If only x would change, then everything would be OK."  But sometimes, change needs to come from within.

When you are unhappy with the way things are going, what should you do?  Complain?  Make excuses?  Blame everyone and everything?  No.  You should make changes and seek results.

I'm tired.  I don't have time.  I don't feel well.  It's too hard.  Excuse, excuse, excuse.

With my 30th birthday just days away, I yearn to make some positive changes in all aspects of my life.  I hope you all will stick around and cheer me on...

Something that will never change - being excited to meet awesome bloggers! Like the beautiful Lauren from Fizz and Frosting!  A fellow Virginia blogger, woohoo!  Check her out!

1) Tell us a little bit about your blog and why you started blogging.

I originally started blogging for Weddingbee while I was wedding planning, but after I got married I didn't want to stop. I caught the blogging bug! I started Fizz and Frosting to chronicle my newlywed life; however, it has evolved into more of a personal style blog, which kind of surprised me. Although I've always been somewhat of a shopaholic, I never envisioned myself as a style blogger. It has really pushed me to approach my closet in a completely different way.

2) I *love* your style. Tell us some of your style icons and/or fave fashion trends.

Thank you so much! :) I adore Olivia Palermo. She always looks so chic and effortless. I'd love to raid her designer-packed closet! I also really like Lauren Conrad, but for completely different reasons. She has perfected the laid-back, cool vibe!

As far as fashion trends go, I would say that I'm obsessed with pattern-mixing right now. It's something that really intimidated me at first, but these days it's become second nature.

3) What are you reading right now?

Besides all the blogs in my reader? Phew! It's hard to keep up! But I'm also reading the Women's Murder Club series by James Patterson. I'm a little late to the game, but I loved so many of his books that I decided to go back and read the series!

4) If you had $10,000 to spend and only 1 day to spend it, what would you buy???

Such a toughie. The practical side of me would want to use the money to pay down debt or something completely dull like that, but my inner fashionista would want to go on a shopping spree! I'd probably buy a designer handbag and a couple pairs of Louboutins. Then I'd spend the rest at J.Crew.

5) Coke or Pepsi? :)

Coke! I'm definitely a loyal Coca-Cola girl. Diet Coke rocks my world (especially if it's spike with a little rum). ;)

Thanks so much for having me, Mia! It was such an honor to be able to share a piece of Fizz and Frosting with your lovely readers!

She's pretty amazing, right? I mean, such great style AND she likes rum in her Coke? Awesomeness. haha. Thanks so much, Lauren! I hope you guys stop by and say hi to her sometime and tell her Mia sent you!
